The WBBSE (West Bengal Board of Secondary Education) organized the Madhyamik Pariksha (secondary examination) 2025 between 10 February and 22 February 2025. The students who have participated in the secondary examination 2025 are now waiting for the results.
The board has not released an official result date for the 2025 secondary examination. Based on the past year’s trend, when the exam was held till 12th March 2025, the board released results on 02 May 2024, the students can expect the 2025 result as well in May 2025.
The board takes at least a month or two to evaluate the answer sheets of the students. The Board will organize a press conference and announce the topper’s name and other information on the result day. Students will be able to check the result on the official website or on the SMS service with their roll number and Date of birth.

Steps to check
The WBBSE students who have taken the 2025 secondary education can check their results in the following steps:
- You should click the official website link of WBBSE given in the above table.
- Next, scroll down to the Other links option and click the Result tab.
- Next, click the View button for the year 2025 to land on the result login page.
- Next, enter your student login credentials, roll number, and DOB in the given boxes.
- Once you have entered the required details, enter the captcha and click the Submit button.
- Once you click the Submit button, your WBBSE Madhyamik Pariksha result will appear on your screen.
Result via SMS
The West Bengal board students who can’t access the internet to check their results can use the board’s SMS Service to view their results. Students can see their secondary education 2025 results via the SMS service in the following steps:
- In your mobile phone, open the text message app and compose a message in the format: WB10[Roll number].
- Next, send the mentioned format message to the WBBSE SMS Service either on 56070 or 56263.
- Once you send the message, the WBBSE board will reply with your secondary examination result.

Passing Marks
According to the WBBSE guidelines, students need to score at least 272 marks from the total 800 marks, they should achieve at least 34% overall percentage in the examination. The students should at least score 30 marks out of a total of 90 marks in theory and 3 out of 10 internal exam or assessment.
The students should at least C grade in subjects to pass the 2025 secondary examination. Students who score 480 or above can get the Ist division, whereas with 360 or above, students can score the second division. Students who fail to achieve the minimum marks in any two subjects can give the compartment exam later to improve their scorecard.

Revaluation/ Rechecking
The WBBSE board allows the students to submit a request for revaluation/ rechecking of their answer sheet if they are dissatisfied with the Secondary examination result. Students can expect the application for revaluation to open after the result declaration and submit it within the limited time set by the board.
Students will have to pay particular charges for the revaluation request and can expect the result of the revaluation after a few weeks of the request being submitted. It’s not necessary that the result will change after the revaluation, so submit the request only when you are sure of your marks.
Mark sheet
After the WBBSE has declared the 2025 secondary examination results, the students should focus on getting their original marksheet. The Board will begin the original marksheet distribution after a month or two on the official website’s download section.
Students can download the original mark sheet or passing certificate from DigiLocker too, and keep the certificate safely, because if it is lost or damaged, they will need to request a duplicate document.
